Dwelling: Art Project

The Antagonist Art movement is an ideal cultural ecosystem for expressing our “End Of Irony” ideas with the public at large. A challenging aspect in contemporary art practice today is finding non-commercial venues to exhibit, promote and share creative experiments with our community. I was introduced to the Antagonist art scene in late 2002 at Niagara bar in LES, NYC by a dear friend and fellow artist, Sylvia O.

The bar scene back then was a central depository art hub where performance, film, graffiti, dialogue, painting, drawing, printmaking merged and blended like atoms inside a particle accelerator. These shows represented a turning point in my career as a youngster, providing exposure while fostering feedback for growth. We are asking our readers to become patrons of contemporary art by

DONATING TODAY

to our Dwelling: Art Project campaign

“When we think of our home, we think of how we live, work, play and the comfort we experience in our homes safe haven. But what happens when the delicate balance becomes interrupted? Citizens for the Arts (CFA) and the Antagonist Art Movement would like to introduce their latest project that examines the hardships and the emotional ramifications of losing one’s home.

Dwelling is a multimedia experience that includes videos, projection mapping, interviews and visual art works including installation pieces that illustrate the vulnerability of losing your home.”

–Ethan,

With your help and support in creating a venue for our installations, you can be sure it will promote critical thinking and visual performance art. Great art expresses not only an aesthetic purpose  within the culture which it exist. It also goes beyond the norm and often times must also reach into the unknown to seek something magical and new.

Ethan words echoes the importance between fostering these creative projects with your donation and support. Our work is a collective interpretation within a cultural stance where the line between creativity and irony are merged as one. I am proud of the work we are currently exhibiting and look forward in showcasing upcoming collaboration art projects with Ethan and the Antagonist circle.
