Creating A Series Of Design Collages Culled From Instagram Image Collection

My instagram anthology of images is all over the place. Until recently when I was able to begin the odious task of organizing them for the purposes of creating a series of images based on a thematic structure culled from imagination and inspirational places I visited in the past.

Going over any collection of photographs in your studio is just the same as organizing a pile of drawings or polaroids for the purposes of creating a meaningful series of designs. The latter was such a strong point of contention that I actually took a picture of my studio home office.

A space I always return to after embarking of the task of pleasing the  general public for the sake of market transaction, entertainment & pure alchemy. As much as I love having web design clients, it can be extremely difficult to please everyone. All the time.

And yet as I ordained an intensely amount of pictures using Bridge CS6, a clear thesis and series title emerged like liquid magma upon an eruption of tectonic plates shooting upward towards the earth.

These include the idea of photographic a place as memory in time. Things, as in the love of objects, artifacts, ideas and colors which attract my intellect and visual sense of humor. At least when looking at the world around me.

And design type, combining imagery culled from creative imaganation in conjunction wit type design. Showcasing Creative Think Tank DC mission statement of incubator for creative ideas.

And as you can imagined, the task of documenting hundreds of pictures taken over a span of three years lead to a large body of work as a form of graphic design infused with typographical motifs, colors and texture.

Each series will take part in four articles with a corresponding description for each design. Similar to that of a museum or art gallery wall installation.
